Naviance FREE College and Career Readiness Resources for JMCSS Students

  • Through funding from the Tennessee Department of Education Innovative School Model grant, each JMCSS rising 6th - 12th grade student now has a FREE Naviance account. This account gives JMCSS students access to invaluable college, career, and life readiness resources for FREE.

    Naviance features the following:

    • Self-Discovery Assessments - 8 different self-assessments are available under the Self-Discovery tab for students to learn more about their skills, abilities, preferences, and natural talents
    • Explore Careers - filter careers by title, education, or salary, as well as explore and save favorites from the career clusters under the Careers tab
    • Build a Resume - under the About Me tab, students are guided through how to build a resume
    • Learn about JMCSS Work-Based Learning Opportunities - under the Careers tab, students are able to see JMCSS Work-Based Learning Opportunities
    • Store ACT Scores - students can store their ACT scores under the About Me tab (Note: School counselors or ACT will need to send your official scores to universities)
    • Explore & Apply to College - students can filter, explore, save favorites, apply to colleges, and research scholarships under the Colleges tab
    • Set Goals - under the Planner tab, students can set personal, academic, and professional goals
    • Learn about High School Course Offerings - students can explore the course offerings at their high school under the Courses tab
    • View Roadtrip Nation Videos - explore different careers by viewing one of the over 1,000 available Roadtrip Nation videos found under the Careers tab
