Students Have Authenic Learning Opportunities in Mechatronics
-
With the district's Automotive Maintenance & Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Institute, students can travel to the JMCSS Workforce Development Center to take classes. Thanks to the TN Innovative High School Model grant, JMCSS has invested nearly $200,000 in mechatronic equipment at the Workforce Development Center this year.
This equipment will allow students to have hands-on experience with the Amatrol mechatronics currently used in the industry to adapt to the manufacturing setup when new product lines are released. This equipment also allows our faculty to offer college-level coursework to students.
